01Introduction
What is HOSA?
HOSA–Future Health Professionals is an international student organization for young people preparing for careers in health and health science.
Founded in the United States in 1976, HOSA combines Competitive Events, leadership development and service, so that students build the knowledge, skills and character that health care needs.

India HOSA brings the HOSA experience to students in India.
Good Shepherd International School is the host of NLC 2027 and the founding India HOSA chapter.

What is NLC?
The National Leadership Conference is India HOSA’s inaugural two-day national conference, held on 14–15 January 2027 at Good Shepherd International School, Ooty.

05Audience
Who should attend?
- Students in Grades 8–12 from any school, as competitors or spectators.
- School advisors, who register their school’s delegation with one roster.
- Accompanying school staff: every delegation brings at least one.
- Principals and school leaders who want to understand what participation involves.
06Host
GSIS as host
Good Shepherd International School, Ooty, is both the host of NLC 2027 and the founding India HOSA chapter.
The conference takes place on the school’s campus in the Nilgiri hills of Tamil Nadu. On Day 1, delegates who are not at the Voting Delegate Forum join GSIS campus tours.
